Manak Pehchano Workshop by Bureau of Indian Standards, Ghaziabad
Bureau of Indian Standards, Ghaziabad makes Community Standards aware
Bureau of Indian Standards, Ghaziabad (Under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India)in association with Salaam Namaste Community Radio organised a Consumer Awareness Workshop in Residential Welfare Association Exotica Elegance Apartments.
The program started by welcoming Priyanshu jee, Standard Promotion Consultant, BIS Ghaziabad by Sashi Bhushan Bajaj,President of Exotica Elegance Apartments RWA and Barsha Chabaria, Stationhead Salaam Namaste Community Radio.

The Awareness Workshop focussed on making every Consumer of all ages being aware of the Standards. Priyanshu jee explained the importance, relevance of Standards like ISI, FSSAI, how BIS Care App connects with consumers of all ages and backgrounds.He explained the features and also shared how to identify the standard Marks with electrical appliances, food items, jewellery, beverages etc.
The Awareness Workshop also witnessed a meaningful Manak-Natika presented by Shree Shree Gyan Mandir, where students characterised next door characters like chemist,grocery person,Judges and wedding experts like "Shadi lal".
Students of NGO"Neerja Footh pathshaala" presented a Manak skit on meanings of different standards and their relevance.Students of Ghaziabad based NGO"Angan aur Aanchal won in the Best Manak Art presentations.
The program culminated with feedback of Manak audience,Podcasts, Felicitation of the expert for the Day 'Priyanshu Jee',Sashi Bhushan Bajaj, President of Exotica Elegance,Shweta Rai, RWA Event Coordinator,AOA Members,Participating NGO's, group pic, Certification and refreshments.
The Community sang in one tune " Jago Grahak Jago,Manak ko Pehchano "
